A Christian Nonprofit Ministry On A Mission
Educate for Life
Educate for Life is a Christian nonprofit ministry started by Kevin Conover that offers homeschool classes, online classes and seminar classes on Christian Apologetics. Educate for Life exists to present and advocate for the truth of the Bible and to explain how to practically apply its teachings to culture and life.
This is accomplished by:
- Providing solid, engaging apologetics curriculum for students, teachers and parents.
- Building an online Christian apologetics school for home school, public school, and private school students.
- Advocating for school choice in California.
Apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia, meaning a “verbal defense” or “reasoned argument.” The goal of Educate for Life is to help students understand why it is more logical, reasonable and beneficial to believe and follow the Bible than any other philosophical worldview. As you can see from the statistics in the video above, this is a very important need today. Educate for Life classes cover topics ranging from evolution and creation to world religions, homosexuality, “separation of church and state”, biblical history, biblical authority and others. These classes can be taken for credit at some Christian schools.
Kevin Conover is the host of Educate for Life radio, a weekly program that airs in San Diego, California, on 1210 AM KPRZ and on youtube.com/educateforlifevideo.
Kevin has interviewed many experts including organic synthetic chemist, Dr. James Tour, one of the top 50 scientists in the world, ADF President, CEO, and General Counsel Michael Farris, world renowned brain surgeon, Dr. David Levy, world wide evangelist Will Graham, and expert on human sexuality, Dr. Christopher Yuan, who is also a former homosexual, among many others.
The next generation is being lost to skepticism and agnosticism at an alarming rate. “We are in a crisis. If the Church does not wake up and solve it, biblical Christianity in the United States is in jeopardy.” — George Barna, founder of the leading market research firm on religious beliefs and behaviors of Americans.
Barna’s 2017 survey revealed that “…statistically a very small amount of younger people have a “biblical worldview”,—only 4% of 18-30 year-olds and 7% of 30-49 year-olds. Barna’s 2016 survey revealed that 1) nearly six in ten (59%) young people who grow up in Christian churches end up walking away and 2) the unchurched segment among Millennials has increased in the last decade from 44% to 52%.
Kevin is passionate about educating and empowering Christian students to be confident in their ability to evangelize and defend their faith to fight against students leaving the church.
Kevin frequently speaks at events on the truth of the Bible and is the founder of Educate for Life, a Christian education ministry, which helps people know why the Bible is the only book that can credibly be called God’s Word.
Kevin lives in San Diego with his wife and three kids. He earned his BA from the University of CA San Diego where he was also the commencement speaker. He earned a Masters Degree in Divinity from Trinity Biblical University and a Masters Degree in Apologetics from Biola University.
Kevin taught Christian apologetics at Horizon Christian High School for 4 years and was voted by the students as teacher of the year, every year. He is currently in his 6th year of teaching apologetics at Christian High School.. which is associated with Shadow Mountain Church and Pastor David Jeremiah.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We Believe in the Scripture of the Old and New Testament as inspired by God, and inerrant in the original writing. Scripture is the supreme and final authority in faith and life. Scripture is useful to believers for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness.
We Believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We Believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, and in His ascension to the right hand of the Father.
We Believe that man was created in the image of God, but because of sin, was alienated from God. Only through faith, trusting in Christ alone for salvation, which was made possible by His death and resurrection, are we reconciled to God.
We Believe in the eternal life of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost.
We Believe the Lord Jesus Christ commanded all believers to make disciples of every nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and to teach all that Christ had commanded.
We Believe Jesus Christ will come again to the earth in power and glory both personally and visibly – to consummate history and the eternal plan of God.
See What They’re Saying…
“Wow! What a delight to have Kevin Conover at our church. There’s no one better in San Diego to speak on the topic of how science and the Christian faith interact with one another. He was encouraging, edifying, challenging, yet easy to understand for everyone. Our congregation loved him and already have asked me when he will be back! If you need someone to speak on a Sunday morning or even during the week, invite Kevin. He will prepare your congregation to defend their faith!”
REV. DARRELL M. DUNLAP—SENIOR PASTOR, CHRIST COMMUNITY CHURCH
“Kevin Conover has been a conference speaker at Future Quest for two years. We love having him all three days of our conference, as he never fails to fill a room. His speaking topics are vast and timely. He interacts with his audience and really knows how to hold the interest of our student attendees. His love for the Bible, and his knowledge of it engages young and old alike. He understands the times we are in, and has an upbeat, biblical worldview that leaves his listeners confident as they engage the culture. You will not be disappointed by having him speak at your event!”
LAURA CHRISTENSEN—FUTURE QUEST WORKSHOP COORDINATOR
“Kevin Conover has proven himself to be a valuable resource through his dynamic presentations in defense of Biblical truths. He has a great ability to engage and enlighten his audience on topics ranging from the reliability of Scripture, evolution and world religions as well as a variety of hot topic social issues. If you are looking to equip and encourage your fellowship on the issues that many of them are seeking answers to, then I highly recommend that you invite Kevin to partner with you. I have no doubt that he will capture the attention of your congregation, but more importantly they will leave encouraged, informed, equipped and with a deeper appreciation of the truths in God’s Word.”
PASTOR GARY MUSSER—JAMUL COMMUNITY CHURCH
“Did you know that 7 out of 10 kids leave church after high school? That is a huge epidemic, and it’s one that we want to stop. That’s why I love what Kevin Conover and Educate For Life are up to, and why I’m so glad that you’re here to support him today. The money you give today is seed money that’s going to affect the lives of millions of people. We want to take this curriculum that Kevin is developing and spread it around the world. Why don’t you invest right now in what Kevin is doing?”
ERIC HOVIND—CREATION TODAY
“We were blessed and encouraged by the ministry of Kevin Conover at India Christian Fellowship. He has a deep understanding of Scripture and reverence for the authority of God’s Word. Kevin is a gift to the body of Christ to defend the Christian faith and to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. His ministry will be a blessing to believers both young and old.”
“I highly recommend Kevin Conover and his ministry, Educate for Life. Kevin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table. He has trained our congregation, Narratives Church, and church leaders on how to address tough questions about the gospel while showing respect to the individual in the process.
