Aliens & UFOs

Do aliens and UFOs exist?

The notion of life on other planets has intrigued people for years and has sparked current interest with the latest UFO news. Hollywood has often depicted weird creatures from far-away planets. Unfortunately these ideas are not confined to only science fiction programming as many secular scientists believe that someday we will actually find life outside the earth’s inhabitants.

Presently there are projects like the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) that scan outer space with powerful radio telescopes listening for signals from intelligent aliens. No one has discovered life on any other planets or transmitted any radio signals from life forms in outer space, confirming what biblical creationists would expect.

UFOs on the other hand are any type of flying object that cannot be identified. Simply put, if you cannot identify a flying object it’s considered a UFO and does not mean it has an alien life form behind it.

How should Christians form understanding regarding the lack of evidence on extraterrestrial alien life and is this sci-fi idea biblical? The Bible says Christians should continually examine ideas in light of Scripture, taking every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5.

We must understand that extraterrestrial life is an evolutionary belief. Of all the places in the universe God chose to visit earth, became a man, died on the cross and rose from the grave for all mankind in order to redeem those who would trust in Him. The biblical worldview is extremely opposite to the secular worldview when it comes to alien life.
