Have you considered how Noah and his family cared for the animals on the Ark?
The Ark was the size of a huge cargo ship, about 450 feet long. At most, 16,000 animals including 2-7 of every species of mammal, bird, reptile, and amphibian on the planet. A generous approach is applied to counting the animals that would need to have been housed on the Ark’s three floors. Most of the creatures would have been small, averaging perhaps the size of a small dog. Even dinosaurs would have been taken on board, not as large mature adults but as smaller juveniles. Creation scientists have calculated there are, at most, fifty different “kinds” of dinosaurs; therefore, only 100 relatively small, young dinosaurs would have been on board.
The Ark was a temporary emergency home for one year. Food and water was most likely stored near each animal. Drinking water could have been piped into troughs, just as the Chinese have done using bamboo pipes for thousands of years. Self feeders would have provided the food for a week at a time. Animal enclosures could have been sloped, with self cleaning floors that emptied into manure gutters or pits. Or the animals could have trampled their manure into pits through slatted floors. Even if as much as twelve tons of manure was produced daily, there were ways to handle the waste. Studies show that eight people could have fed and watered 16,000 creatures with no problem. While the year-long stay on the Ark may not have been comfortable or easy, it was certainly do-able.
