When Chick-Fil-A’s president made a statement on homosexuality, it really drew a line in the sand and brought to light a variety of important issues regarding 1st Amendment rights and religious freedom. The reaction from both sides of the debate was pretty astounding. This video is a timeline of the events surrounding the issue.
When it comes right down to it, the real question we have to ask is: does the effort to make homosexual relationships on par with heterosexual relationships trump religious freedom, or does religious freedom trump the effort to make homosexual relationships on par with heterosexual relationships? What does the Constitution say, and as a Christian, what is the strongest argument for preserving marriage as defined as one man and one woman?
